    COUTURE WEEK FALL 16

    25 July 2016

    RECKLESS & WILD

The Paris Couture week FALL  2016

The imagination is limitless in this year's Couture Shows in Paris. Paris is the creative hub of the world, and always amazes us with the most unusual creations. This years vision involves sustainability, and the love for mother earth.

French designer Jean Paul Gaultier got inspiered by a stroll through a forest in Japan. He employed a palette of autumn leaf colors with a moody forest landscape on satin dresses and added fur coats. "The workmanship is very, very, very couture..." Gaultier emphasized "...It can´t be copied."

John Galliano, head of Maison Margiela chose a more fearless and reckless approach for his collection. He made the observation about high-skill skateboarders. "Àt the end of the day, it´s about making beautiful clothes," he stressed.

Victor & Rolf tore up dresses from their archive and integrated the pieces in their latest collection. "The first feeling we had was, we want something organic" Horsting stated. "Ìt´s good to create something new and not get stuck in the past..." Snoeren said.
