    TREND: BOLD PRINTS

    19 February 2019

THE 5 PRINTS THAT WILL DICTATE THE CLOSETS IN SPRING

After the sales fever, it's time to take stock of the situation and think about the new spring wardrobe. What are the fantasies and prints that will triumph in the summer? Avoid stylish slippers: here are 5 to focus on.

    By Franco Lorenzon

    THE NEWEST? TIE&DYE

When you pose in any garment: the Tie-Dye magically transports you to the 70s. The newer versions seen on the catwalks are made contemporary by "psychedelic" colours, full of joy. The game of fashion not only offers them the inevitable t-shirts but sees them as protagonists in clothes with a bon ton flavour or tailored cuts. As if it were a subtle provocation between the almost "do it yourself" aspect of Tie-Dye, combining it with couture lines. The touch of a master? Mix them with strictly black details or accessories!

YOU LOVE ANIMALS? BET ON THE PYTHON

After all the endless leopard distortions of the last few seasons, the python is in the limelight. For those who love the animal theme, this will be the hottest print. The most surprising thing is that it is now resting on romantic garments such as hyper-feminine dresses, fluttering skirts or palace pants. Do you want to combine it in colours that enhance it? Black and white are a certainty of style, and also pastel shades (blue, yellow or salmon) give it a special twist.

    A GREAT CLASSIC? STRIPES

If you are attached to the old scheme that requires stripes to be adapted only to the tall and thin, this season you will have to think again. Firstly because the designers want them strongly in the wardrobe of all women. Secondly, because they are now strategically placed together, combining horizontal and vertical stripes. It doesn't matter if rainbow or two-tone stripes, you'll get the coolest effect by mixing them with polka dots, checks and flowers. What are the most popular pieces for this print? The masculine cut suits, dresses and chemisier baydera as well as funny evening sequin mini dresses.

    A TOUCH OF SPRING? FLOWERS

It's been several seasons since the "flowering girls" were in vogue. For spring 2019, the flowery patterns that dictate the law no longer have the sickly taste of the past, but a more graphic and contemporary look. A dictate for all? No half-measures; if you decide on the flowers style, you'll have to wear it from head to toe. In case you are less addicted to fashion than the influencers: break the impetuosity of this fantasy with the reassuring effect of black or with a touch of pastel colour by helping yourself with clothes or accessories.

THE APPARENTLY MOST VINTAGE FANTASY? FOULARD

We've been seeing the scarf theme for a while now, too. Directly from the catwalks the suggestion that the most important designers give us, sees this print with a less classic and bon ton allure of the past. Its new soul is expressed with unstructured, fluttering garments, much more design and contemporary than in the past. Also new are the patchwork effects strategically combined between different patterns. Accessories play a fundamental role: contrasting and maxi.
